Not a lot to report this week. Last week was the excitement with the trip to Fairbanks, Alaska. This week has suffered some consequences of that trip as I’ve found myself running a fever and all the other uncomfortable symptoms that come with that. Probably the worst cold I’ve had since the COVID years of 2020. From a writing standpoint, being unable to keep a normal thought going in my feverish brain, much less a creative one, has made for little progress on stories or my novel. It’s definitely a week for drop stories, what with their minimal overarching plot, but whether those will make any sense once my brain is in more of a normal mode is debatable.
I’ll note that we need not worry for this Saturday. Even if the items I’ve been working on don’t pan out I’ve got a little bit of a backlog of stories ready so you can count on something that isn’t driven by a fever dream to be posted.
So, like I said. Not a lot to report. I’m gonna go back to drinking tea, taking naps (with my dogs for snuggles), playing old video games that require minimal thought, and seeing what creative things come out of my feverish brain.
Go forth and do good things,
Sean
