Fey and Bard

There's Power in Stories

Check-In – New Tricks

A bit of an interesting and a fun time last week. It hadn’t occurred to me to write book reviews as part of this site and what started as a desire to comment on a few aspects of “Just Stab Me Now” ended up being complete enough to pass as a review. Having gotten one review out of the way, I can see more being an occasional occurrence on the site.

Inspired by the book’s satirical take on romance, and given the multiple Instagram’s I’ve gotten from my wife playing out “One bed” scenes, it seemed appropriate to see how the Fey and Bard would deal with such a situation. For all his years, the Fey is a bit of a sheltered figure. Which is really a large part of what makes his relationship with Keto so much fun. The old dog is learning new tricks.

I’m still out of town for training, but my stuff was finally delivered and there has been conversations with Ms. Fey & Bard on furniture arrangements and how we are likely going to need to downsize a bit. It’ll be nice to return to all of our things, though it’s frustrating not being there to help. However, I realized this morning that I’m close enough to the Maryland Renaissance Festival to make a trip next weekend and that should provide ample entertainment and maybe a bit of inspiration [Update: It’s already sold out through the end of the event in October, so sadness].

On the writing front, I’ve been doing a lot more novel work. Drop stories are still coming but I can’t really say with confidence what I’ll end up finishing up for posting this weekend. Probably something with Keto and Quartes but time will tell. In the meantime, I hope you all have a good week.

Go forth and do good things,

Sean
