A thing I have toyed with for a while is commission art prints of some of my characters. Certainly, the fun I’ve had the last couple of weeks with Baldur’s Gate 3 offering me a chance to create scenes of Quartes and Keto plays into this. However, whether it’s written or in gaming (both the tabletop and video variety), I’ve created a lot of characters over the years. There is Quartes and Keto. There’s also my Trooper in Star Wars: The Old Republic, my version of Commander Shepard from Mass Effect, Harken the Anarchist Artifier from a friend’s DnD campaign, the enigmatic Benjamin Hadrian from my unrealized sci-fi series, and Dwinaak the Dragonborn from my most complete Skyrim play through.
I think it would be fun to have a wall in my home with visual representations of my characters. Especially done in a consistent style. A wall of the stories I have made. For the characters that have largely only existed in my written words, I also like the poetry of working with someone skilled in a more visual art style to help bring them to life. So, aspirations and something for me to look forward to as I go forward in life.
On the written word side of thing, I ended up starting Quartes’ journey through the Hendark Mountains last week. It’s the tale that brings the Fey from his dark past and into the events that rebuild his legend, and eventually bring him to meet Keto. It’s also where he is left alone to deal with those struggles of his past. Make no mistake, there will be physical challenge for the Fey as he makes his way through the darkened Halls of Falden but his greatest struggles are likely to be with him alone. Part 2 is nearly done, which means I may finally make some time to rebuild my backlog and do some updating on the website.
Always nice to have goals.
In the meantime, enjoy Keto having too much fun from her day at the circus (a fun event early in Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3).

Go forth and do good thing,
Sean
